1. An environmental issue that all of Europe faces is climate change. This change throughout Europe can greatly affect temperature sensitive areas, where the habitat must maintain a certain temperature range to be inhabitable. This also leads to the displacement of animals among these habitats, leading them to find new homes; i.e. urban areas, invade new habitats, etc. Climate change is mostly caused from pollution throughout Europe.
2. Another environmental issue that Europe faces is limitation of land. This is due to the finite amount of land in Europe, especially Western Europe. The low amount of land hinders expansion outwards for urbanization. There are many government land plans to equally distribute land for certain purposes, for example: farming, industry, housing, etc. 3. Acid rain through much of Europe is a problem. This chemical is created from pollution in the atmosphere becoming condensed with condensing rain in clouds. This rain can be dangerous for animals to consume large amounts of. Another negative affect of acid rain would be slow weathering of builds made from rock. This is very prominent in Germany. 4. Marine life pollution is a growing problem throughout Europe. Many major rivers have had toxic/harmful waste disposed in them so that they may cycle out into the ocean/sea. This greatly disrupts the natural state of the animals drinking from the river. This can also kill the marine population within the sea or ocean. 5. The final environmental of the 5 issues is the soil quality in Europe. Many countries with nuclear reactors as a source of energy, may have disposed of containers of waste improperly. These countries/companies may have created a “Toxic landfill” by burying the containers full of waste beneath the ground. This could very well leak into the soil, making the land uninhabitable. |
